Review on: Eyes - Eye Shadows Lancôme Colour Focus, Click
I got this shade in a color focus quad and I love it. These shadows are so pretty and blendable. The only issue is that they don't have much staying power for their price tag. I'd say it last about 6 hours with primer and melts off even faster w/o it. I wouldn't repurchase again, because I feel they are too expensive, but if you have a miracle primer they are great!
Pros: very pretty, blendable, smooth
Cons: not much staying power, pricey
Review on: Eyes - Eye Shadows Milani Runway Eyes Wet and Dry Eyecolor
I found nothing wrong with this product. The shadow themselves have a glittery top layer, I don't know what that's about, but once you remove the top layer, it is more shimmery than glittery. They have great staying power I'd say they lasted at least 6 hours without any fading, but stay on for pretty much all day.
Pros: staying power, pretty shades
Cons: maybe to glittery for some
Review on: Eyes - Eye Shadows 17 Eyeshadow in Darkness
I was really surprised with how good this is! I expected it to be just average because it was really cheap and the brand is aimed at teenagers which most of the time means that it's not of that great quality.
But, the textures good, very easy to blend, you get a lot for your money and it's easy to use wet or dry. Sometime when you use it dry it can look a bit grey but if you layer it on a bit it's fine.
Pros: Price!, good texture and quality.
Cons: None really.
Review on: Eyes - Eye Shadows L'Oreal HIP Illuminating Highlighter
This was a terrible product. It comes in a duo with shades called shimmer and twinkle. I tried it as an eyeshadow and it litterly melted right off with and without my primer. The colors are ok, but the shimmer had no pigmentation at all just a faint sandy shimmer. The packaging is nice it is in a little compact with a mirror underneath.
Pros: nice packaging
Cons: has no staying power at all
I tried these with primer and without. I have Biscotti and Giola. With the primer they stayed on all day no problems. Without the primer they suck, cause they melted about 3 hours alter. The shadow itself is a shimmery like all Mark products seem to be, smooth, and pigmented. I'd advise to only wear with a primer. They do come in plastic cases, but if you have the compact case they look very nice, I got a blush, 2 shadows, and mezzo case for 10.00, so watch for sales.
Pros: Shimmery, cery cute colors
Cons: need primer, have to buy custom packaging
Review on: Eyes - Eye Shadows Sally Beauty Supply Sally Girl Eyeshadow in White Chocolate 388715
I don't know why they call this white chocolate. It's a shimmery, medium to dark grey. Nothing about it evokes images of white chocolate. This shadow is super pigmented. It applies and blends smoothly, and I had little to no fallout with it. No bad smells to it. The packaging is easy to open, and the individual shadows fit together to form a palette. Definitely would buy this again.
Pros: Cheap, super pigmented, applies and blends well
Cons: None
Review on: Eyes - Eye Shadows Sally Beauty Supply Sally Girl Eyeshadow in Champagne 388703
Great shadow. It's an excellent highlight and tear duct color. The shadow is quite pigmented, which was surprising considering the price. Very little fallout, and applies smoothly. It blends easy peasy too. The color itself is a shimmery ecru. I would say it is warm toned. I bought this because for some looks Kitten(one of my favorite highlight colors) can be too pink. Definitely a very versatile color. The packaging itself is easy enough to open, and the individual shaodws slide together to form a palette. Would and will buy again.
Pros: Cheap!, very pigmented, blends and applies smoothly
Cons: Not a one!
This color is a lovely blue color. I had bought this two times now and it has never failed me. Every girl has to definitely have this in their collection. :) some people may not justify paying 14 dollars on an eyeshadow but this is definitely worth it.
Review on: Eyes - Eye Shadows LA Colors Palette- Tease
The colors look awesome, but you have to apply a base for them to show up on your eye. The fall out was really bad. I was dissapointed, but they were cheap, so I didn't lose too much money.
Pros: They are good colors. And they are cheap.
Cons: Must have a eye base or colors will not show up. A lot of fall out.
Review on: Eyes - Eye Shadows MAC Star Violet/Veluxe Pearl
Star Violet is a plummy brown with a hint of pink. It's gorgeous and very easy to blend. I love using it with purples. I'd say it goes on a bit lighter than it looks in the pan. I would repurchase when I run out.
Expensive Pink is a golden peachy pink. I absolutely love the texture of the Veluxe Pearls. I get a lot of use out of this...it looks good with a lot of different colors. A friend of mine who is very fair skinned says that this goes on too orange on her, so I can see that it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea, but I would certainly repurchase.
Pros: wonderful veluxe pearl texture-great summer color
Cons: can be too orangey for some skintones
Top Hat is a dark blue purple from the Starflash collection. It has the Starflash finish which is great for anyone who likes Veluxe Pearls. Smooth and pigmented. It is similar to MAC Fertile (LE - Strange Hybrid and Heatherette) but Fertile has more red shimmery while Top Hat is more blue purple.
This is a beautiful brown/taupe with shimmer. It looks amazing with blue eyes. I get compliments everytime I wear it. I like to apply it on the lid and crease.
Pros: Beautiful color, blends easily
Cons: A little chalky
Review on: Eyes - Eye Shadows MAC Naked Lunch -Frost
At first I wasn't very excited about Naked Lunch, but it is slowly becoming my go to color for everyday. I have blue eyes and it really accentuates them well. I would definitely buy again.
Review on: Eyes - Eye Shadows Laura Mercier Metallic créme eye colour in Platinum
I really love this shadow. It doesn't crease or budge. Despite the name saying metallic, I think of it more as a frost. I love to wear this all over my lid with a dark brown in the crease and outer v for day time, or to use as a highlight. It's easy to apply, and doesn't take too long to set. Blends nicely, and well pigmented. The color reminds me of Stila Kitten.
Pros: Nice pigmentation, blends and applies well, lasts all day, doesn't crease, good for day or night
Cons: Is more of a frost than a metallic(though for me that's a pro), cost
Review on: Eyes - Eye Shadows Revlon 12 hour ColorStay quad in 11 Sultry Smoke
Love this quad! Despite how dark the colors seem, I can use this for daytime and night time looks. The colors really suit my brown eyes. The colors don't crease on me, and they really do last all day. I don't have issues with fallout, and the pigmentation is good. Blending is easy, and the product goes on smoothly. Definitely recommend this.
Pros: Nice pigmentation, applies and blends smoothly, doesn't crease, lasts long, no fallout
Cons: None!
Review on: Eyes - Eye Shadows Loreal HIP Eyeshadow Duo in Showy
I love this duo and the HIP duos in general. They are extremely pigmented, easy to use, come in great colors, and have great lasting power. The shadows are soft and can be used wet or dry. I really enjoy using this duo all the time, the colors are unique to me, and they are pigmented and easy to use and get a hot look with. I hear you can somehow flip/move the eyeshadow compartment and there is a sponge applicator under there. I can hear it in there but can't figure out... how to get to it for the life of me lol. But it doesn't matter to me. I am looking forward to buying more of these duos and also the new duos that came out recently... they are metallic... can't wait to pick some up! Here is a picture of my Showy duo. The dark side is matte and the light side has a shimmer/sheen to it no obnoxious sparkles. LOVE IT!
Pros: Pigmented, soft, silky, easy to blend, excellent staying power, great colors
Cons: Honestly nothing
Review on: Eyes - Eye Shadows Collection 2000 Collection 2000 Dazzle Me Eyeshadow
I recently bought a Collectin 2000 Dazzle Me Eyeshadow in Spellbound, a dark bluey colour which is highly pigmented. I still can't decide whether I like it or not. On the negative side, I have tried it with multiple bases and get tons of fallout and it ends up all over my hands/face. The colour is gorgeous, and for £3 you definately cannot complain, but they are just sooo messy! On the other hand, the pot is just slightly smaller than a Mac pigment pot and it is filled right up to the brim, so you get a lot for your money. They have a wide selection of colours also.
Pros: Great colours, very cheap, get a lot for your money.
Cons: Very pigmented so tons of fallout, very messy.
Review on: Eyes - Eye Shadows Barry M Fine Glitter Dust in Opal #21
A lot of people prefer the dazzle dusts to the Fine Glitter Dusts and although I agree I still don't think the glitter dusts are bad. They have a nice texture and theres always lots of glitter and just like the dazzle dusts they come in lots of great colours! I got opal which is a black/very dark green powder with emerald green specs of glitter. If used alone the glitter tends to fall off more easily however when I used it on top of a black eyeshadow pencil the glitter stuck and the colour was lovely!
Pros: Price, texture, colour, glitter, great when used on top of a eyeshadow pencil or shadestick.
Cons: Can't really be used on it's own or the glitter falls off.
